Gastrosession 2026: participant invitation

Dear participants and guests of the 52nd scientific session of the Central Research Institute of Gastroenterology!

On February 27, 2026, the 52nd Gastrosession "Scientific achievements in clinical practice" ended.   

This year, for the first time, we organized a surgical pre-course, which was attended by Russian medical clinics from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad. The country's leading surgeons performed real-time operations demonstrating complex clinical cases.

At the opening of the Gastrosession, M.A. Piradov, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, delivered a plenary lecture devoted to modern concepts of brain function and the use of advanced technologies for the treatment of diseases of the nervous system.

A special session of the Gastrosession was dedicated to the memory of the outstanding gastroenterologist and remarkable person Asfold Ivanovich Parfenov.

The discussions and presentations of the main program of the Gastrosession were no less interesting and informative. Within the framework of the symposia, the most pressing issues related to the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune gastritis, inflammatory bowel diseases, celiac disease, and diseases of the liver and pancreas were discussed. The reports devoted to damage to the digestive organs in oncological diseases aroused great interest among the guests and participants of the conference, as did the meeting of the Moscow Society of Medical Geneticists, which focused on the role of the microbiota in the development of diseases. A wide range of specialists took part in the roundtable discussions on liver transplantation and primary sclerosing cholangitis. Traditionally, within the framework of the Gastrosession, a meeting of the Pancreatology Club, a symposium for young scientists, and an endoscopy day were held.

We are glad that the session provided an opportunity to exchange experience, implement new scientific achievements in clinical practice, and strengthen scientific ties between specialists in various fields of medicine.
